Repair and Renew.

A Dinefwr Blankets is made to last — not just for years, but for decades.

If it’s looked after well, according to our care guide…

If it’s kept clear of barbed wire fences, teething puppies, and moth banquets…

Then it should stay with you for a very long time — softening with age, gaining character, and one day, perhaps, being handed down to the next generation.

But life happens. And when it does, we may be able to help.

Where possible, we offer a professional repair service for well-loved Dinefwr Blankets — to extend their life and keep them part of yours.

There’s a nominal fee to survey your blanket. After that, we’ll offer a fair quote before any work begins. Ask us for details — we’re always happy to help!

Caring for your Wool.

Dinefwr Blankets are made to last. With a little care, it will soften and age beautifully over the years. Our blankets aren’t fragile – they’re made to be used, loved, and handed down. The better you care for them, the longer they’ll remain part of your story.

  • Wool loves fresh air. Hang your blanket outside on a dry day to refresh it naturally.

  • Spot clean when needed using a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid harsh rubbing.

  • For occasional deeper cleaning at home, gently hand wash in cool water (30°C max) with a wool-safe detergent. Rinse thoroughly. Squeeze — don’t wring — and reshape while damp.

  • Dry flat, away from direct heat or sunlight.

  • Alternatively, dry clean professionally or use a specialist wool service.

  • Avoid tumble drying and machine agitation, which can shrink or felt the wool.

  • When not in use, store in a cool, dry place — ideally wrapped in breathable cotton, with a

sprig of lavender or a block of cedar to keep it fresh.
